Finally got around to starting the air system for the shop. Using 22mm copper piping with 10mm water drops

thats the condensers dry fitted, going to fit the water drops this afternoon.....

Paint it matt black to radiate (or absorb) heat.

it wants cooling not absorb external heat a good fan blown over it all would help if it was covered . boxed in

If the ambient temperature is lower than the compressed air temp it won't absorb heat. Even with a fan the air temp in the room has to be lower than the compressed air temp.

I ran 15 mm copper co-axial with 22 mm copper outside as a jacket, and ran cold water though the 22 and the air through the 15. All sloped at 45 degrees with a condensate drain at the bottom. Worked splendidly. Only needed a trickle of cold to keep it condensing.

Thanks, I have read that one before. Very nice set up. I'm restricted on space otherwise I would maybe have done something similar. I just don't have the space to give me what I hope is sufficient travel to condense the moisture hence the up and down arrangement. I do like the look of the dessicated filters, something I am considering as moisture for blasting and coating is a serious no no

No worries, I'll be doing a new set up soon, and yes bigger compressor and a decent drier. Space rules out the drier in my current location unfortunately. Much easier and way more efficient?
