I might have the chance to get some work turning down stainless. Basically I need to turn down a bar so it has a pin at one end and then take another bit the same size and drill a hole in it to take the pin, and it needs to be a snug fit.
I've not done anything much with stainless but I know it can be hard to work, so I'm expecting chewed drill bits and lathe tools. Can anyone suggest good drill bits and suitable lathe tools before I go out and waste money buying the wrong stuff and getting frustrated and throwing things across the workshop? Many thanks,
Julian
