He's sat on a 2x4 in the above pic

Burnt a block of oak for his base, balances nicely. Have yet to blacken him at all. Still deciding if there is more welding to do before final grinding, etc..

That's a nice sculpture, fun to look at. I like how you used the perforated metal and the burned block base is perfect for it.
