Several years ago I had a Citreon Synergie (identical to the peugeot 807). It would fit an 8X4 sheet standing up on edge - it fitted between the front seats as the handbrake was on the right of the driver and the fllor all the way to the dasboard was perfectly flat.
It was a fantastic, practical vehicle - 7 seater but all 5 seats in the back could be removed individualy - to give you a huge van if you wanted. It's no bigger than a Galaxy on the outside, but much bigger inside.

you mean same as a peugeot 806 not 807 is later model same as Citreon C8 i have a 806
if you put a 8x4 sheet in the 806 on end yes it will fit but you will have no vision to the left hand side not advisable

Over the years I've tried all sorts and come to the conclusion that even a small van beats even a big car 99% of the time, I've had estates, pajeros, vectra saloon (ok I only had a small toolbox in that) as well as combo vans, astra vans, transits and even a long wheel base high roof movano. Every car was a struggle but even the astra vans were better, bit of a pain but I'd choose one over an estate any day

I am coming to the same conclusion. I have fseen a few people using the Astra vans now that I'm taking notice of what people are using. And the vauxhal combo seem popular. Might just get a 6x3 in the smaller vans but I'm also coming to the conclusion that that isn't much of an issue either. I'm not making so much effort to get everything myself now, if people want the work done they have to wait for the delivery. The Astra van and a trailer looks lime a decent option, trailer for cement mixer and wheel barrow on bigger jobs and then the van can stay full of tools and ladders

I am biased to the astra, quick trip to the scrappies got me some comfy seats, alloys with mint tyres and some nice clocks, Rev counter was optimistic at 7k tho

The cost? £60, less than 4 new tyres on the steels, and made it a nicer place to be on the way to jobs. As for deliveries I was the same and got pretty much everything delivered, less hassle and if you plan ahead doesn't delay the job

with bulk deliveries I find Wickes hard to beat and they have a good delivery system so I gather dates up when quoting and if the customer wants it done I know when its gonna be delivered most of the time barring any traffic jams or the wagon breaking down. An Astra sized van would fit just about all of my kit and I have a small box trailer at my fathers that needs a slight bit of modifying and touching up

A mate's a chippie, last time I saw him he a pair of wooden garage doors and the frame on the roofrack of his Astra van. A neat touch was the rack had rollers at the back to make loading etc. easier.

Look at a Vauxhall movano BB. Its a bit bigger than a swb transit. Other than that, a swb sprinter.

plan is to get a van sorted then missus can have the Renault, or probably bin the Renault and get her something reliable

Not many about. Generally low roof, 80hp 2.2 diesel
Avoid smaller vans if carrying full sheet materials.. Having the rear door open looks really professional.........(in my opinion)

Other vans in that size is the Citroen relay/Peugeot/fiat ducato. All the same van.... Bigger than basic swb transit.

The short wheelbase ones are good I have the vw lt28 and can get multiple sheets in no problemo!

Mine is 2.5td 109bh goes well and get about 430miles on a tank! Expensive to repair though but thankfully don't go wrong that often!

I have a v230. Basically the car version of the Vito. All rear seats clip in/out so when they're all removed, it makes a van. Or I can clip 3 forward facing in and have a massive boot space and use it was a family car
