I’m hoping to start work shortly on sprucing up my workshop - it’s an old blacksmith’s shop 10m x 5m with an earth floor... It’s got to serve as workshop, garage for one car, 2 or 3 motorbikes, mowers...
I’ve got a builder who’s going to install a concrete slab and put some electrics in, but he wants to know what I want, though I know nothing about electrics.
I’m not planning on running a lot of machinery as I’m retired and this is a hobby, but will have at least the following, all single phase:
Forge - 550w
Welder - undecided as yet given given the cost of bottled gas here. I’m using a little Selco Genesis 140 inverter that was given to me unused, it’s proving fine for everything I’ve needed to do so far
Bench drill
Bandsaw - probably a Femi NG120XL
Bench grinder
Compressor
Battery charger / conditioners
Hand power tools - some are currently 110v but I’m happy to ditch these
I don’t know what the incoming supply is, but assuming all is OK should I be putting in some 16a or 32a sockets?
Thank you.
