gordon, is the table top pressed steel or solid...? looks pressed if so how thick..?![]()
I've got one of the Nomad Portable Welding Tables and have been very pleased with it for the money.
As you guessed the top is pressed steel about 2mm thick - saying that it's fairly rigid due to the wide mounting plates, the folded slot sides and also the deeper folded and welded apron.
You wouldn't want to do any hammering on it but for it's intended purpose of ease of setting up parts to be welded and the facility of adjusting the angle of the worktop for positional welding it's great
. I've not tested it with anywhere near the 160kg capacity but it looks like it is well engineered enough to take that.The ebay link that was just posted is stakesy's ebay shop. They're cheaper on the stakesy's website though @ £110 incl. vat as you get free delivery on orders over £75 and less than 25kg.
