I used these deadlocks on the last garage door build, primarily because Id snaffled them off some scrap doors. The locks are worn now, and I dont really like the look of the metal keep plate (if thats what its called) that needs rebating into the trailing door.
I do need a door handle as it will be used regularly as a pedestrian door into my garage office, but was thinking for locking purposes either just have a handle and fit the top deadlock, or one of those yale type locks that mount on the rear of the door with a cast keep plate that screws on the door rear. Whats recommended that is a neat solution ?
