ZX9 your bang on my thinking, I thought just that, use the ring to form a flat, however I think I will pinch the hot plate idea, also I like the look of being able to remove the plate, sometimes you can look at the price of these things and think blimey, but then go and make one and half the time a $300-$400 price tag is not so far off!

A google image for the thread, I think much the same, maybe waterpipe legs that screw in, a removable chimney, grill and flat plate, air vent in door, not sure how those attached plates that sit on the side effect its balance but looks like it must work, never seen these before but they do look cool! I have a thing for making them haha

Having trouble sourcing a flo gas 9kg bottle, they phasing them out. Were not that popular.

So they won't want it back if you do find one.
