How about one of those angle grinder cutters using a chain saw ' blade' should provide hours of fun at the local A&E.Nor did they to start with.

I saw something like being carved with a chainsaw at Otley Game show a couple of years ago.How about one of those angle grinder cutters using a chain saw ' blade' should provide hours of fun at the local A&E.
No use to me.
Let me know when you've tried one .I saw something like being carved with a chainsaw at Otley Game show a couple of years ago.
An arbortech angry grinder blade can't be any worse than that?
It'll be the typing about it, I'll find difficult.Let me know when you've tried one .
I might have a spare one, will look Tues daytimeI’ve got an idea brewing in my head to make a wood carving
need a carving gouge, I reckon about 30 mm (ish) wide, curved but not too much of a radius on it
now, I’ve been looking at the usual places and they are stupid expensive
how easy=y is to make one and what metal could I use?
it’s for a one off project
alternatively where can I get one from for cheap, anyone have a spare one for sale
@The_Yellow_Ardvark ?
Can I buy them off you? Will get used straight away. They are about £100 new....these have never been used........a gift that ive never had a use for
Im thinking £50
No DVD though....just the chisels
crack on don’t forget my commission. Can I buy them off you? Will get used straight away.
If he flogs them to me, I will send you the one you want.crack on don’t forget my commission.
very generous, but I’m ok.If he flogs them to me, I will send you the one you want.
There are some interesting wood shaping attachments available for angle grinders, but I imagine vibration would be a problem? As a/g's aren't especially well made and often vibrate even when new..plus the shaping tools don't get centered by the way they are held on.I bought an Arbortech in Oz in the early '90s when, iirc, they first came out...and when they were much cheaper.CLICK HERE
Brought it back and did a few things with it, then foolishly loaned it to someone.Ages went by and it had forgotten the way home so I asked for it back......he denied ever having been given it
- lesson learned.
If anyone gets one, be very careful because it could eat your house if it ever 'got away' from you - and probably develop a taste for human flesh along the way.![]()
Now I have watched the Arbortech youtube video, I really want one badly!I bought an Arbortech in Oz in the early '90s when, iirc, they first came out...and when they were much cheaper.CLICK HERE
