Wolf valve resurfacer

Hi all. Does anyone have any idea how much a wolf valve resurfacer is worth? I have one taking up space in my garage but haven't seen any for sale to compare or base a price on.

I paid £10 each for my 2 a few years ago. I don't know if anyone grinds valves now.

depends on who wants one . if they really need one they will pay a good price and even more on ebay if someone else wants as well or it may fetch peanuts if no interest . modern cars rarely need valves grinding not like the old days when they were soft and bun out

Bought before the days of eBay and still in regular use on small stationary engines and lawnmowers etc.

its one of those tools that unless you are rebuilding engines on a weekly basis, it just sits there gathering dust for years at a time, that said when you get rid youll want one a month later

cant ever rember needing to resurface valves, have thought about getting one to try grinding multipul angels on to try and get a bit more flow, bit like tri cutting the seats

These were beautiful tools, I used them regularly back in the eighties when I ran a fleet of tractors, they did a lovely job. We used the tungsten carbide cutters for doing the seats though, they were so quick!

I still use mine, aside of valve refacing they are really handy for setting up valve clearance on OHC heads that use bucket/shims. I have never had to buy a shim since I owned it (stem height setting tool on the right of machine)

Local college chucked theirs in a skip as nobody wanted it for free. Even I couldn't think of a reason to rescue it !

Can they be used or adapted for anything else ? Grinding drill bits/milling cutters ?

I ask, simply because, near me is a small engine workshop. Chain saws, lawn mowers type thing. He has one in a "Bosch" green colour.
Or is that just a similar machine?

Mine is the same machine as @wristpins but gold colour , currently shoved in the container while I sort out some new drive belts.

It probably is now you mention it , that said it sits on the original work station cupboard and draw set which is red. I will have a prod about in the coming months and see if there is a date plate on it.
