Wolf 175 mig gas welder

    Hi all

    new to the forum and my first post!!

    i have a MIG wolf welder, ( Yes i Know!!!!) but With has done some good welds. but the wire feed assy has stripped the plastic teeth of twice. does anyone know of a replacement unit i can fit in,??? as don't want to really have to buy a new machine, as like most Xmas has drained the funds.

    any help is appreciated, i am in Southampton Hampshire

    welcome to the forum

    im sure you will be able to fit another make you would be better off posting a picture of the drive unit someone may be able to suggest a type that will fit straight in

  5. looks like its not just a matter of changing the unit or gears .. u need to find out what is causing these to keep failing ???
    when was the liner last changed or even the swan kneck??
    is the wire reel to tight ?

    Weldequip's away at the mo but you may be able to retro fit one of these.

    Thanks guys, will have a look at the liner and the torch to check them. then will await weldquips retrun and oreder one if all is well with the liner and neck.

    im with woz if you are handy enough as long as the power requirements are right i would imagine you could make any one of those fit all it will take is a little metal work
