Mine has absolutely no interest at all in what I make/fix/design/alter...if her friends want something fixed she will ask if I want to do it but thats about it. Likewise, I have little to no interest in the things she does in her spare time and I think thats part of why we work well together as we have found things we like to do together, but also have things we do on our own

Had more luck with my daughter being interested in welding and the workshop than my wife.

She wasn't bad at tig welding.

My wife occasionally is used for help lifting things and does a good job of supplying me with cold drinks and coffee depending on the weather

My Mrs will help if asked, she’ll hold stuff, or tack it up for me. Her mig isnt bad, or wasnt last time she tried it, got really frustrated with tig and never tried again. Think sat down with a small torch shed have got it eventually.

If I need a tool and ask her to get it, she always comes back with the right thing.

Todays assistance was pushing cable down trunking.. I couldn't ask for more really

I couldnt do my work without my partner -

I hand print cosmetic parts that go on expensive studio equipment. No one would tolerate cosmetic defects at the price point.

Her attention to detail surpasses mine, so she does the QC. I just wouldn't be able to do both the print and the error checking quick enough (before the ink flashed off in the mesh), so she is absolutely essential to the process.

my 4 year old daughter takes more interest in my lathe than my mrs or 12 year old son does

Mine turned round to me the other week and pointed out how much easier it would be if I had an extra grinder and battery charger so I didnt have to keep changing discs so I disagree
