I am very lucky my wife supports my many hobbies and as long as things are paid we all good - I mean the great great deals I get on everything I purchase how can one not buy them - if my wife sold the things for what I "paid" for them we all would cry

Im like this at the moment with older ham radio stuff, though to be fair Its always easy enough to move on without losing money and I prefer tinkering with the gear than actually talking to people on it

My wife's finally cottoned on I like stripping and rebuilding the tools more than using them lol.

Never had a problem with mine, but I never mention her holidays either
there was a bit of a mutter about another lathe (3)& another Bridport I lent mate the second one for a while as I have had his TIG set for 2 years

Edm spark eroder very useful done the electrics mine is a pulse one just need to finish the flushing system currently it's a squirty bottle mine is the Ben Fleming design slightly modified

I just picked up 6 home shop machinists from 1995 showing the plans for one.

On the subject of Stolly's @8ob can we do this once yours is back up and running?

I’ve not driven one of those since I was at Minden, Germany at the back end of the 80’s. Lots of fun to drive but wouldn’t want to face the bills for maintenance let alone filling up with petrol.

I've got a partially broken induction hob here, full of IGBTs and litz wire, I wonder if that could donate some parts to an EDM power supply...
