I thinks it going to me more like 60 KG, either way, needs to take weight of a person.

in that case I wouldnt build a tripod at all ,,, think mini gantry crane ,,, way easier to build and easier to pour from too

I would not suspend the "pot" or crucible overhead.

I would arrange for the exhaust of the fire, to go thru a pre-heating chamber
where all the scrap is placed to burn off any oil/water/paint etc.
For safety first, but also efficiency.

I thought it was for soup, which would be inherently fail-safe, any mishap would put the fire out.
