Wisteria arch

Today I installed a wisteria arch I made from 30x12mm bent on edge, with 16mm round bar forged to 10mm round tenons & then threaded. The double dogleg made things interesting. The client is going to paint it themselves - I primed the reverse sides of the fixing plates for them in my workshop. Of course none of the masonry or existing metalwork was square.

Wisteria sinensis gets a bit of a lift from root zone applied slow release fertiliser ....

The client wanted the arch to be centred over the stairwell. If it just came up straight from the ground then the arch would have been eccentric to the stairs.
The right hand leg had a 2nd dogleg in it so it kicked outwards to increase the width & line up with the existing metalwork. Quite a lot of back & forth bending to get that exactly right.
