A short fried the electrics in my espresso type coffee machine and there's no wiring diagram available and the fault is probably on the circuit board anyway. I decided to rewire it and do the PID conversion which more accurately controls the water temp and apparently produces better tasting shots (I'll believe it when I taste it). I'v bought the PID controller and seems easy enough to wire up.
Just took the main pump out and there's something I don't understand. There's two wires going to it and the symbols are 230v and the diode symbol. There's no connector for neutral. Does anyone know how such a pump should be wired? Photos attached.
