wireless switch on clay trap

Well the 4 channel is suitable for 20(chinese) amps.

But guessing 5 amps per circuit.
I don't know how you wired the trap etc so

tried to make a diagram. i have bought a 12 volt 40amp relay.

You would want to use the remote to fire the coil to power the trap.

So would be

Wire

12v battery to 12v and common on wireless card,
Normally open on card to 86,
Ground to 85 and ground on wireless card.

Heavy 12v wiring goes
12v + to 30
87 to clay trap firing signal.

Which should give you your wireless control circuit which clicks in the relay which will give you a full power signal to the trap.

This wiring diagram won't work as isn't excited the coil,
And the coil is the wrong side of the control circuit.

Does that make sence though? As the relay takes 40amps where the wireless card won't be able to handle that oomph.

The card will activate the relay.
And the relay will have enough to pulse the trap.

ruffian so you know i am not questioning your wiring ability just to nake it clear.

i am beat with it trsp primes but wont go off.

i can hear the relay clicking. i have pushed the button and been using test lamp at the same time and no out put on any of the connects .

only thing i can think of is when the board got overloaded. last time

when the relay on your wireless board clicks.... does the big 12v relay click too?

have you got a meter to test stuff with?


did you buy a new wireless board or using old one?

i followed the diagram a few posts ago. as above

purple and yellow.

wish i never started. think there is a relay in the traps body. and a 2 way switch on off and dis arm

I meant a photo of the wiring you've done

if it already has a relay I'm guessing you must have mixed up +ve and -ve somewhere originally and shorted it out to blow the first board

are you trying a new board or is this a new one?

will send pics of what i have set up before i use new one . the old board has fried its self. i just rewired and tried it on the off chance.

i am going to order a new one
