just picked up a clarke 160 t mig plant ,after several weeks of haggling with my mate,which wire do you use on car panels,and what thickness,it came with 2 cylinders of gas as well.also a recommendation on a stockist for consumables,i live in the reading area,cheers guys any advice grateful,last ques how long does a cylinder last.cheers murf.

for car stuff you need 0.6mm wire, as you will only be welding at low amperages, the higher the amperage the thicker the wire.

If the bottles you have are the disposable type, expect them to last for around 10 mins of continuous welding.
