Wire quality

Hi there,
About the buy some 0.8mm to try (previously only used 0.6mm). Is there much difference in the quality of the wire that is available, i.e. is it worth buying any particular brands or is wire just wire ?

There seems to be quite a price difference on a 5kg reel. Makes I have found are:
Futuris
Sealy
Clarke
Draper
Langley
GYS
SIP

I'm using a 150A Clarke MIG welder with Argoshield gas through a proper regulator and welding up to 2mm on a car restoration.

I seem to always use Lincoln Supramig nowadays.
Have done for ages, and have had (and expect) no problems with it.

I've just ran a few beads with Lincoln Supramig it seems a lot better than the esab wire which came with my welder.

I use the 0.8mm Lincoln Supramig wire in my Portamig. It works well.

i have the clarke 0.8 in mine does just fine for me
