Messages 1,593 Apr 29, 2008 #5 Hi, you could try moving your hand away from the workpiece and keep the trigger pressed for a very short time so the wire runs out a little... it depends on a few factors, how close the tip is the the weld-pool and wire speed, etc. Regards Peter

Wozzaaah The wizard of woz Staff member Messages 17,015 Apr 29, 2008 #6 Check your wire-feed tension is set correctly, also the torch liner may be knackered and causing resistance, it could even be as simple a fix as fitting a new contact tip. All are simple and cheap to eliminate.
