R runnach Banned Messages 1,804 Dec 11, 2007 #2 If your wire feed tension is too tight, all you will be doing is reducing the longevity of your wire feed and, they don't come too cheap to replace!! Also if to burn back, you will birds nest around wire feed rolls, best to have it set correct use!

Mad Mick Member Messages 196 Dec 13, 2007 #3 Hi Zobman,you should set the wire feed so that you can stop it by holding it at the torch end with a reasonably firm grip(making sure there are no kinks in the lead).I hope this helps,regards, Mad Mick.
