Well here we are, several months after my last post we're settled into our new home in Australia and i have to say loving it! for the last few weeks I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of my stuff from th UK, so imagine how dissapointed i was when everything they delivered was damaged in some way or other, my bandsaw, destroyed, my bench drill, destroyed my brand new Murex Tradesmig 181 looks like its been thrown of the back of a moving truck, all of which I'm in the process of claiming for replacements (why is it they're quick to take the money off you but not so quick to give you any back?)
Anyway, I thought not a problem I still have old faithfull (my clarke 151te) to play with in the meantime, so i get set up position my workpiece and manage to get 2 tacks before it stops working??!!! when I pull the trigger I can hear the gas and a clicking sound like a relay or solenoid coming from inside the welder itself. Before we left th UK wire feed was becoming a problem but just figured it was the liner and swan neck and so replaced the lot but never really tested it before we left.
So i guess what I'm asking is, does anyone know what the peoblem is? can it be fixed? is it worth fixing (financialy i mean) and if so how do i fix it? any advice would be much appreciated.
