Recommendations please for a pair of sprung loaded ones, for keeping on the welder. Thanks.
@8ob are these any good? I've seen them plenty and been tempted but never used or bought a pair.
weld a bit of chain on the end of one handle , about a foot long , and a bottle key onto the other end of the chain , and just leave them hanging on the bottle , as they no longet fit in a pocket folk wont bother to borrow them at all , Ive also a grinder key on a loop that slides up and down the chain too , most of the time i just use pliers.
Used to do this on ships. Make a key fob too big to go in a pocket. Saves a lot of time in the long run.weld a bit of chain on the end of one handle , about a foot long , and a bottle key onto the other end of the chain , and just leave them hanging on the bottle , as they no longet fit in a pocket folk wont bother to borrow them at all ,
i just buy a few pairs of stanley wire cutters or bahco pliers and use them .
Not a huge fan of these, can't cut in a tight spot (at the drive rollers for example) though in this festive season the nut cracker, shroud remover could be useful.Proper thing for the job.https://www.welduk.com/product/mig-...MI9s-Xn9657QIVB57tCh2ccwA-EAQYAiABEgIF-fD_BwE
Ive never bought them because I haven't had the chance to try a pair and for everyone who raves about them, I find another that hates them. Just up to the individual I suppose. Youtube reviews seems a 50/50 split as well. Not a huge fan of these, can't cut in a tight spot (at the drive rollers for example) though in this festive season the nut cracker, shroud remover could be useful.
Well I'm going into Macgregors tomorrow anyway so I'll get me a set I reckon. They're about a tenner so worth a shot. Watch this space.......They are certainly all you need at the torch end.
