Wing mirror repair

The industrial estate where my workshop is located has some interesting people. Some very good at their work and others quite dreadful.
Recently a gentleman named nick the bodge was repairing his wing mirror.
I just had to take some pictures before he could hide..
I think the plan was to lay up filler on the cardboard

Milliput epoxy putty would sort that...comes in black too...but would need a bucket of the stuff!

He's already got the felt-tip out.
Reminds me of when I couldn't get a mirror glass easily, so for a month I was using a CD glued onto the mirror housing.
The album wasn't "Don't Look Back".

Everybody knows black gaffer tape is the official mirror repair. Official OEM replacement for transits round here.
