Talk about muddying the waters.
Just to clarify....lol i am sure that either windows 10 home or pro will be fine. (As would windows 7 if microsoft had not tried to force people to use 10 and buy a new PC at the same time.)
But as things stand i dont have an upgradeable windows 7 except for my laptop and this route would not give me an ISO to use windows 10 on the desktop.
The media creation tool will only create the ISO for Pro and Home . Not Enterprise. You have to login for the Volume Licencing and have a business.
You CAN get an Evaluation version but it only lasts for 90 days and you CAN NOT use your Enterprise key (which is valid for 32bit and 64bit Enterprise versions)
You can get it if you have an MSDN account allegedly but i dont have such an account and i only have the 32bit Enterprise ISO.
I realise i am being pedantic but part of my hobby involves learning, i am keen to learn the real world differences...
Enterprise Key or CAL Licenses are used on the AD "Active Directory" Server when you log onto the company domain it will authenticate your windows software this is also then used as an Audit of how many PC's have the software installed. one's PC also need to reconnect to the AD server from time to time i think it's 90 days or you get you are a victim of piracy message.

Based on Linux, apparently? I think the "we'll keep patching Windows 7" idea is a pipedream TBH
