Window shelf and floor update

An eternity ago I was asking for advice on levelling and relaying a wood floor with wood not laminate. And also for replacing window sills. OK Window Shelves.
Bedroom is finally finished.
Window shelf fitted a few minutes ago.
Floor was a struggle but came good in the end.

I forget who recommended going diagonal. Brilliant idea in my wonky house.
Window shelf.
I wanted one piece of wood but settled for kitchen worktop
I levelled the wonky brickwork and built a support structure.
I can't stand straight lines so wanted flowing almost sensual lines.
Well pleased with the result.

Mrs C has just moved in now the spare room is free as an office.
Plan A was get the room plastered in January and move in.
Cue month's of DIY and builders.
All worth it in the end.

When I was doing my time as an apprentice electrician we used to work for a 'builder' who was famous for relevelling floors by smashing holes in the floor (ground level) then pumping concrete in till it came up through the floor. Float it level cut off the door bottoms to match the floor, new skirting board. Job done.

If anybody is after some good old raw wood to make something like the window sill I have a ‘bar’ that we brought back from the Philippines years ago. I believe it’s Acacia, 2 1/2” thick, but Ive never really liked it. Comes up real nice with some wood oil on. It’s just sat in the garage, some assembly required, free for collection.
