theres no need to carry tools up and down they have lifts in them as well as laddersCould be some specialist setting up/maintenance tools. Like you might want a set of feelers gauges to set valve clearances on an old car. Or spring compressors to change springs. Or basic tools that aren't too expensive but are a bit heavy to carry up/down. Torque wrenches, breaker bars, big sockets etc.
Photos would be good..the turbines I worked on had a three point block locking for the rotor.....operated electro hyd.....the comp was timed to the correct position......
there was a special place for the tool box, bolted down and secure.....
basicaly all there was was big spanners.....and a few special leads to plug the lap top into...
must try and find the photo's.....

If the great unwashed find this out it could lead to a rash of robberies across the country. I’m sure there would be other stuff inside that could be sold to get their next ‘fix’.One of these big “commercial” wind turbines local to me was broken into and all the “tools” stolen out of it.
What sort of tools would these be and would each turbine have its own tool kit??
