I've just got a new trailer that's bigger than my last one which I could push and use it's momentum to get over the little ledge into my lock up. I'm thinking of getting a winch to fix to the floor and pull it over the little ledge but don't know the first thing about them! Seen a 12v warn 2000lb (900kg) with remote for about £150 aimed at quad bikes/atvs and I have a spare battery and trickle charger. I know they're a decent make but how are they rated. would it lift 900kg vertically or just pull it along a flat surface? trailer probably weighs 650ish kgs. I've seen bigger "warrior" and "stealth" winches for same money and also seen a manual one same rating for about 50 quid that would probably do the job but I'd much rather push a button and concentrate on steering it!
