Why are airboxes and lots of the fancy pants aftermarket parts you see for cars TIG welded?
I'm still at the learning phase of MIG welding but I'd love to put together something like this for my track car, I was even thinking of wrapping it in something like carbon fiber to reduce heat soakage so I'm wondering what's the reason for TIG? Is it solely aesthetic or is there something else I'm missing relating to using stainless steel?
Actually I've just railised maybe these are aluminum and not stainless?
