My friend is a decorator. He seems to love it.
I cant stand decorating, however, plastering i actually quite like. My decorator friend has been telling me for some time that i should do a plastering course to get confident enough to quote out on it (i currently just do it for free when friends want it)
Anyway, my decorator friend has known that we have been struggling since brexs#it and has prompted me to do some training. Went for the interview a couple of weeks ago, and was accepted*
6 week, 9-4:30 5 day per week British Gypsum sponsored training starting at the end of next month.
I suspect I'm going to be dreaming skim by the end of it!
*its not a beginners course, hence requiring a skills test prior to acceptance.
Were you paying peanutsThat's the problem though, it's hard to find anyone that can do a better job than I can and if I'm paying for it then it has to be better than I could do!
Look at this poxy footing the builder layed after I told him I was extending this old brick wall.

I'd told him to lift or cut the paving slabs to get it in the right place FFS! I didn't see it until the next day.
Half the building trade is made up of kin monkeys!
That's a brilliant little step / cart. Is it robust enough to stand on the table bit?I have recently come out as loving decorating..here is my float at decorating pride..

Very robust it takes my weight easy but if you stand on the table part it can roll, the steps touch the floor when you stand on them to act as a brake so safer. That's a brilliant little step / cart. Is it robust enough to stand on the table bit?
When I moved into my bungalow 2 years ago it soon became obvious it had never been decorated since the original disabled owner moved in, just given a bit of a half hearted scrub by his inheritees once he passed away. So, not being one to break with tradition, the only work I have done is paint out the front room. It was the only room that needed decorating, the rest can wait until someone inherits the place from me.I detest decorating and will happily pay to get a man in
My sentiments entirelyWhen I moved into my bungalow 2 years ago it soon became obvious it had never been decorated since the original disabled owner moved in, just given a bit of a half hearted scrub by his inheritees once he passed away. To save time and effort I painted all four walls, coving and ceiling the same colour.
