I cut the the fingers off a latex glove and tape it on. Sickaflex is the worst because its so expensive and goes a long way!

those toolovation tips are about a quid each, I dont know what sealants you use but thats the cost of 1/3 - 1/2 a tube of sealant so you might as well just bin the remains and get a new one....

Lots of tubes of silicone and other sealants and adhesives come with nozzles that have a screw on cap. I just save them to use on the ones that don't. Most of the grab adhesive tubes for example have caps:

I used to get some good silicone in little toothpaste tubes, that was handy stuff you dont need to open an entire cartridge for a little job. I think you can get it in art shops.

I saw these a couple of weeks a go, when the nozzle end dries/cures you can cut the end of the tube off and tap one of these in the end.You can then get some more use out of the cartridge.

like i said it cures with age even if u dont use it as it has a shelf life

Those tips are reusable(obviously you can't make the hole smaller once you've cut it) so once you've got them you can rescue a partly dried up tube.
