see posts fairly regularly from people looking for draws/cabinets etc..
I'm surprised no one makes their own - more than just the odd draw here and there as stack of 6 draws in a cabinet you normally buy from snap on etc.
is it just not worth the time/cost vs buying ready done?
I'm moving things around soon, have a stretch of 4m which is mostly bench with shelves under
thinking of making a new bench with draws under all the way along, deep shelves under the bench are a bit of a waste, things at the back get forgotten - I've got other deep shelves which can be used where needed
2mm steel, plasma cut and bent, weld up each corner, an X of flat bar (2mm offcuts?) on the bottom to reinforce it, decent runners... should make a really good strong draw?
to buy decent draws works out a minimum £50 a draw? (I know you get the cabinet too)
mostly thinking about making them because I'm struggling to find some that are right for what I want
