Why cant i buy tube of metal hub

Just using metal hub for the first time.. trying to get quotes for tube. Used metal4u before which i now know is overpriced.

Cant seem to get a quote of 1" 14swg tube. No matter how big the order. Infact for no tube at all. What am i doing wrong

Just had a quick look at metalhub.

Are you looking under Circular ERW, its listed, 25.4x2.03mm.

I didnt bother to register to get a price though. Looks like it requests prices from many suppliers.
May possibly have to wait until a weekday to get prices quickly, I very much doubt many, if any suppliers are working Sundays.

I can get quotes for six different suppliers for 1" tube - 1.5mm thickness X 6m lengths.
that's at 3-15pm on Sunday.

double checking- same suppliers for a variety of sizes.

you *do* have to register, tho.

Saw this thread and looked at the site, thinking hmmm could be good...

I registered this evening, did a search for 50x50 box and 50x50 angle (a popular size that you would think most stockists could supply)... Nada!
Tried each for 1 length, then tried for 10 lengths, still nothing.

Anyone used Metalhub with good results before?

I will try tomorrow (weekday). I wonder if results will be different over the phone...

(Edit: seems like they are Northern based, might explain my search results from down here in Dorset)

I fell for that trying to get some metal ordered to my mates quoted fine to my address but wouldn't quote when using his postcode guess they work it out to make sure £20 delivery works out

Yeah thats right, circular ERW and 25.4x 2.03. Ive requested quotes so pehaps thats how it works. Its just the way the site looks i thought it would have given me some prices back

Ive registered both telford and birmingham. Different email address ect and nothing. Pehaps people will get back to me during the week
