what's your budget bob? (how much would you be happy spending?)
Is the area lit at all?
can you run wires to the cameras? - you can get solar ones, mains is better, you can get mains ones that are wifi, but again wired is better
what kind of area will each one be covering? if it's a 12ftx12ft room then pretty much any cameras will do... if it's 120ftx120ft then you need something better (imagine the small room, someone face is 1/20th of the picture... if it's 120ft then their face is 1/200th of the picture so you need something better
room/somewhere safe for a recorder at each site? - you can record back at your base station where you're going to watch them all... but by the time you have 3 sites each sending 3 videos it's a lot of data you'll struggle to keep up and lose quality
if you have a recorder at each site, it can record the maximum quality from the cameras then if it's toned down a bit back at your base it's no big deal, you can see what's happening but if something bad happens you can visit site and check the full quality (you can download full quality remotely too)
also.... are they going places people shouldn't be? person detection and a notification on your phone is pretty easy these days
my brother just started swapping over to unifi cameras... and I'm going to do the same after seeing how good they are, some of his cameras were £500 but these are cheaper and better (not 100% on what they actually cost, just know they were cheaper, I'll ask)
