just say nowtHi all,
when storing these gas cylinders at home, is it necessary to notify anyone, e.g. local council, insurance, fire brigade?
not been able to find any clear answers online so thought id ask the question here!
regards
The assumption is probably that you are liable for the trees on your property, whereas the gas supply is the responsibility of Transco up until the shutoff valve before your gas meter. If they don't ask they can't accuse you of "non disclosure" They ask about trees in the vicinity of the house on my policy but no mention of cylinders. There is a pipe in from the road which brings natural gas into the house but they don't ask about that either.
Insurance is often refused or reduced by people not disclosing even when it's not relivent to the claim
Does it say anything on your insurance about storing 15 gallon of petrol in your living room?
According to an old mate an ex spark who is now a senior firefighter candles and chip pans are the main cause of house fires nowI'm surprised insurance companys haven't come down on stupid cows burning candles in the house .out lass has a few smelly ones about and I snuff em out when she lights them . they stink
