Look through lincolns product info regarding these wires,there are lots.
if you cant find any mention of up to 55cfh then i will hold my hands up and admit ive made it all up

Regardless,i wouldnt use it to work on trailers,but it is an option if preferred

170 amps and up puts you firmly into the range for dual shield wires. 4-5mm would be about the minimum really as it needs that to get just into spray transfer. That isn't that thick. Depends on how thick his trailer material is. Dual shield fcw is more usable than people think.
Remember you are traveling faster , this reduces heat input giving better mechanicals and less distortion. It's a lower spatter process over conventional solid wire mag but the real advantage is going out of position. No need to change settings or mess about weaving with a solid wire in dip transfer. Unless you have an expensive stt or similar machine capable of good down hand rooting a solid wire isn't gonna get near a dual shield. Yes your not gonna start patching up a Rotting Peugeot (sorry Peugeot owners) with it but it doesn't need to be thick gage big prep work either.

Here's a good one for ya. Lorry Chassis trailer beams. 6-8mm flange onto a 4mm web. So it's a fillet joint with no backing or previous weld to punch into. Guess what the main process is here for such work. I'll give you a clue..... knocks the spots off flux cored welding with ref to the current used.
Clue no 2 it's not so good at vertical up and impossible overhead.
Point is these processes are far more usable than we think and tunnel vision means you might miss a big trick.

Just to point out it is a farm trailer i am going to weld, not a car trailer.
The chassis is made from 10 and 15mm plate. Thats why i wanted to use dual shield.

Yep. Last one I saw which was a while back now was actually twin wire flux cored sub arc.
700 amps going onto a 4mm web. I was there looking at some new porosity issues from an inspection POV.

One thing.... if your able to switch to neg polarity then your open to any kind of cored wire, providing it will run well if at all with the gas you have.
If not and your stuck with positive torch polarity, then i think you might find youll be stuck with rutile cored wires, as if memory serves me right there are only very few basic cored wires that will run without reversing polarity.
If youre stuck with positive polarity and rutile is what your going to go for, then Murex Corofil RX56XL is a good choice if you ask me, use it at work on beams with up to 80mm thick baseplates in flat pos, platework from 8mm upwards all positions building tanks and vessels up to 30mm thick and all sorts of bits and bobs. Runs as smooth as anything in all positions, slag comes off with one swipe of a wire brush, penetrates very well too.
The other we use is a basic cored wire, Murex Corofil B55, same usages and variables, but gives higher tensile strength welds on par with low hy rods (filarc56s and elga p47).
One thing though, is when running either of these wires we run them with 80/20 argon/CO2 mix.
Not sure how youd get on with 100% CO2 though, as with straight CO2, not sure youd get into a spray transfer, like you wouldnt with solid wire, so will lose the speed advantage, at which point a 4 or 5mm fincord m or vodex or when welds are in flat position a 5mm iron powder wont take much longer to weld if you cant get into spray.
Thats just my opinion and point of view. Been a while since weve had any jobs in to burn off a bit of flux core tbh, so hopefully memory serves me right lol
