Its certainly a choice that I make from time to time ;-)
Locking them in a cage might make them last longer here
Only if you ask your misses to hide the key!

there is an easy way to get the whisky tho ......

I plan to weld the keys into some sort of modern art sculpture to give to him sometime in the future.
In that case, there's only one avenue open to him.......

i bet it took longer for you to build it than it will take him to get in to it angle grinder and away it goes i know there are no tools alowed but dont think for a min that will stand long
on a seprate note can you not weld some spikes round the bottle to stop him from grinding it as the points close to the bottle should stop him from whacking grinding with pic of said bits saying any more than lock pick means braking the bottle ?
) so I suspect he will persevere with the lock picks so as not to give me the satisfaction of having to resort to his angle grinder.
he is pretty much as stubborn as I am (really rather stubborn) so I suspect he will persevere with the lock picks

Aye, never underestimate the power of thrawn.![]()

I'm sure he will take it in the .spirit. its meant and have great fun getting in it, it wouldn't be fun if he just used a .bar. to get the locks off, the .opening hours. are part of the gift and not just the .lock in. the way.
sorry :-)

@mpats Just had a thought, you could christen it 'The Irn Bru Tantalus' [for those of us 'daarn sarf', one of the Company's advertising slogans is/was "made in Scotland from girders"]![]()

We do have something similar but brazed and riveted. No idea how old it is
Tell us something about yourself, it's usual by way of an introduction.
