Hello, not sure if I should have started a new post, but am trying to do exactly as original post. A mixer I rarely use, but evidently an older model than OP. Can I bypass this capacitor/switch so it is just switched on the wall, I have a small amount of mixing to do and its going to take a while to source a switch and get it delivered. As per pictures, there is 4 wires from the mixer to the switch... Thank you!

At the very least you might fit one of those three pin plugs which has a great big switch on the body. You really need to be able to switch the thing off in a hurry. They are relentlessly powerful devices.
