ok so i'm self taught welder and used to do a fair bit of body work, about 20 years ago i bought a sealy supermig (160amp i think) which was fine but a few years ago it died on me so i could do with a new welder and i'm unsure what to get budget is a bit tight (been renovating a house for several years) sealy dont do the model i used to have they have the 150A but it only has 2 power settings as far as i can see, i'm not sure i would have enough power for the 180A i've got a 16A socket and could instal a 32A one but i live in rural ireland and there are 5 or 6 houses drawing power from 1 15KVA transformer, so what do people think of the sealy inverter 160A mig and does anyone know the input current it draws, or what alternatives there are at similar price or cheaper, i need to weld some railings and gates for the house (probaly 2-3mm) and make 2 boat trailers which will be 4-5mm thick box sections
