Which welder to suit welding sills?

Hi there,
I have only recently joined the site and after all the reading am glad i did so, anyway I am in the middle of restoring a mk 3 Escort and the sills need replacing and a few other bits, if I could I'd like to try change them myself but have no idea what type of Mig welder would suit the job, I have used a mig before but would need abit of practice on it again when i get one.
If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it I'd have a budget of about 250 Euro or there abouts?

Someone will be along in a min to recommend a Clarke - I've never tried one but they seem to be the best of the budget welders

I'd agree with that. Personally, I have a Clarke 150TE and absolutely love it (it's in a different league to the SIP I had before). Good weld quality reliable and plenty up to the job.

Something like a 135TE would be probably 50 Euros over your budget - but I'm sure you wouldn't regret the overspend. It should be man enough for the work you are planning on your sills.
