Only thing to watch with has irons in the exhaust. Seen a few cables melted by clumsy auto electricians in the past,
This is my thoughts on why to go for gas or 12V as I hate soldering with an extension lead + it doesn't help that my current soldering iron has a short rigid leadI have a big plug in one for the likes of alternators, but it rarely comes out to play i cant be bothered with extension cables ect
how long does it last on a refill?

it certainly says "portasol superpro" on the side.
bonus: they're walking distance from my house, and cheaper than CPC.
I wouldn't p*** on anything Sealey even if it was on fire!Idle curiosity I searched for cordless.

I would happily watch their whole business burn to the ground, But we won't go into that!unless you'd drunk *a lot* of petrol?
I feel like I have almost melted my fingers with a gas iron more than once when soldering mini jacks or 9 pin serial cables up a set of steps next to a projector.Only thing to watch with has irons in the exhaust. Seen a few cables melted by clumsy auto electricians in the past,
Are these 12V ones any good?
I don't really want a draw full of used soldering irons, Would much prefer a decent one which will last me years. I'm getting fed up with cheap throw away junkThey're cheap enough to try them out.
I was getting the same so I bought a antex and it was the best thing I've doneI don't really want a draw full of used soldering irons, Would much prefer a decent one which will last me years. I'm getting fed up with cheap throw away junk

I wasn't suggesting you bought sealey Ashley. There's a nice silverline one though....
I did link a weller afterwards. Just throwing the idea or battery powered soldering irons out there.
