Which router bit brand ?

Do a search on the UK woodworkers forum but they normally recommend those already mentioned.

Whatever one you buy it will not last long on laminate. A kitchen fitter told me a new trend cutter only does 3 kitchens before its knackered!

correct the cutters are ok to use on softer woods afterwards but the edge is taken off them cutting the laminate and chipboard so for about a tenner is it worth risking ruining a few hundred quid worktop with a crappy joint

He's stretching it on 3 kitchens I price a new bit for every Install and long the old ones in a box for timber work.

For the big router I've only used trend and use a new bit everytime, I can tell the difference by the time I've done 2 corner joints, I don't do them often.

If your freehanding hinges cut to a score line and use your hands as an adjustable fence

I usually go down one short side to the corner and back up. A small trim down to the other short edge. Down and up then hog out the bulk along its length slowing down against the knife line. Takes me 30 seconds max a hinge.

I used the fence to set the max cut, just leaving the short bits to free hand, went round the outline of the hinge then took out the rest, so much easier to control and set than my small plunge router.
