Was the guide bush correct size, looked at those and a few warned they were slightly small and took too much off, either that or the bush disinterested and killed the top.I bought a screw fix guided flush trimming bit. It’s been great for home diy use

Decent 7mm straight flute has been my go to for years for hinges and latches. Get a year or so out of them unless I hit metal.It comes with a proper little guide with its own bearing, will give both a go and see which I like.
Not too fussed on the doors any cutter that dosen't disintegrate on contact should do for hinges and catch.
