Hi All,
After many years gap I'm returning to my novice efforts at mig welding with my old SIP migmate 150 that I previously used with the disposable bottles but I want yo change to decent sized bottles and regulator so after advice and recommendations please.
The job will be car body restoration so usually just 1mm mild steel with occasional 2 , 3, maybe up to 4mm stuff.
It looks like Hobbyweld 5 gas might be what I want ? which is noted as 93% argon, 5% Carbob Dioxide and 2% Oxygen. Would anyone advise against this?
Hobbyweld can sell me a regulator and adapter to reduce gas feed onto the torch.
Seems an easy way to go for me but is there anything else in need to think about or need to get.
Thanks in advance.
