I have a 1962 mini I have finally got in the primer and flatted stage, the primer is 2k. I am undecided if its best to use a solid 2k in almond green or use a water based base coat and 2k clear, I have never painted a full car before so was thinking maybe solid paint as any mistakes may be easier to rectify, I was planning on using cellulose but after my experience with cellulose and 2k high build have come to the conclusion that cellulose is more work and tends to react with everything even the 3m red stopper I used. I believe 2k primer is a good base for either top coat but am undecided what to go for. Any advice welcome.
