Welding machine. (Not from Highland Industrial Supplies unless you have a VERY favourable discount)

Regulator.

Argon/Co2 mix Gas Bottle from BOC, Air Liquide, Air Prodicts, Energas, or the Nations Favourite - Adams Gas - Motto "Neither Rain nor Snow, nor Gloom of Night, we'll get your gas to you All Right"

Decent quality Welding wire, ideally Lincoln Supramig, twice the price, three times the quality. Pick the right size for the job, and don't leave it in the rain.

1 doz Spare tips to suit wire size.
1 spare shroud.
1 spare liner.

1 tub of tip dip. For welding purposes only. Do not use whilst drunk and amourous, though it may otherwise enhance pleasure, or not.

1 reasonable quality (reaction time) Auto welding mask, or "bucket". Also used for keeping
Welding gauntlets (buy a spare pair)
in.

Also required, one angle grinder and various discs, pads etc etc.
Pairs Riggers gloves, to save the welding gauntlets from being cut through by the grinder.
Ear defenders
Goggles.

Cup of tea. (no engineering operation can be performed properly without one of these to start.
Bottle of Beer. Ditto above, but for finish.

You are now ready to spatter bird poo all over your 4 wheeled pride and joy.

It comes in a tub and it's the consistency (but not the taste) of Lemon Curd. It keeps the tip and shroud free of spatter, extends the life of both by ages and makes it much less likely that the wire will foul in the tip. You dip the warm nozzle in and get it all coated up. Like I say, it's for welding only

Yes, not good with Doritos!
I've been using this stuff and it's fantastic! Even better than the gel stuff and one dip lasts a whole day, just like the tin says. It looks like evaporated milk but dries on the hot shroud to form a slippery powdery coating. Mr Weldequip sells it too

Best way to get comments on your welding is to post some pics, then you will get pointers from various members.
I am glad you are getting a package sorted, i think to many people possibly just buy the welder without the other bits you need, including the very important safety stuff

If I change from a 0.6mm to 0.8mm wire, do I have to change the Liner or does the Liner do for both sizes??????

You should be ok. I think the small size goes up to 0.9, the next size up to 1.2, but not sure. Weldequip will know.
