Which One To Buy ??

Hi guys, I know you have probably heard this a million times by now but I'm looking to buy a decent mig welder. My budget is about £250 and it will be used for welding cars and other projects and it will need to do upto 5mm steel.
I've narrowed it down to these 2:

Personally I would not buy a new MIG from Ebay, I prefer a supplier with trusted after sales.

The Clarke you highlight is I think one of the new cheaper models they have started to supply, they may be ok but I have not seen much feedback on them to date, where as the long established but dearer models are accepted as a good hobby plus machine... I have one and it's excellent.

The Clarke is their Chinese model and only goes down to 40A.

The Sealey looks ok.

I would say this would be better but i would as i have the 200t version but even tho it is a old model its my favourite out of all ive used.

Does your budget include funds for a decent helmet/mask? If so, you might struggle to meet your requirements.

At that price, you're getting close to a Clarke 151TE in a Machine Mart VAT-free day.......
