Hello all.i want to take advantage of Machine Marts vat free day and get myself a new welder,which is the best out of these to?Clarke151TE or Clarke160EN,i was thinking the 160en as i can use gasless wire aswell would you agree?

Also why cant i use gasless wire on a gas mig without the gas??

And what auto darkening helmet would be recomend on a tight budget?

You need to be able to swap the polarity to gasless wire

If you really want to use gasless wire then yes, the 160EN.
The difference between solid wire with shielding gas and gasless wire is the torch polarity. Solid wire/gas needs the torch to be positive polarity and gasless wire needs the torch to be negative. Dual purpose machines like the 160EN normally have an easy method of polarity reversal, often connectors inside the case near the wire feed mechanism.
Helmet recommendations, something like the Parweld XR914 or the SifLite are cheap and reliable.
