I need a MMA inverter for occasional work on steel. Have been renting in genny welders but they are basically horrendous. Am looking along the lines of a 140 to 150 amp . Not too bothered about the tig side of it all but might give it a go later on. I am not interested in any of the chinese junk rebrands or drop shippers on ebay and a certain supplier of my welding gas for my mig set wants a fortune for the inverweld 140 which appears to be a kemppi miniarc with a different sticker. They tell me they specify different feature but not sure. Anyone know different. Is the kemppi miniarc made by kemppi themselves. Seems to be a good make generally but it seems that some buy in their smaller machines. The Kennedy cougar at 305 inc the vat looks ok and is a telwin made one but know nothing of them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Have a budget of £350 max including the dreaded vat. Am I on the right lines with kemppi or is there better out there . Thanks in advance guys and please forgive my ignorance.
