+Which MIG WELDING to buy?

Hi
I want to buy Mig welding for making gates but don't know which one to buy
and what else do I need to buy?

These are the one I can find from e-bay, welding store and catalog

MinarcMig 150 - 180 = £550 bit too expensive

there are more on ebay but I don't know which one are good to buy?

Our survey says.....Uh Uh!!
It might weld 6mm but definitely not for 'prolonged periods'.
For gates and railings you really should be looking at something of 180 amps or more.
Clarke do a 205TE which is 180 amps output but the duty cycle is pretty poor, at 60% it's only 80 amps.
Why not look around for a decent second hand one, there was (still could be?)a Butters 211 (220 amps) for sale near me for £275, I've got one and it's a nice machine. £575 new .

That'll be spot on for that sort of stuff .
Regarding being cheap to run, no transfromer based welder is 'cheap' to run, if you need to do the work unfortunately you have to pay for the juice.

cheap to run?.......depends what amps ur burning with ........ was going to buy it ,seller didn't get hold of me quick enough i bought an as new thermal arc 180 for £180,,,,,,,,watched it go through e-bay again and didn't make my highest bid so seller got in contact,,,,,not sure if he's still got it was nearly 4 weeks ago ....get some views from other members

I found a stray dog earlier, lovely black lab, was just sorting out what to do with it when a lad turns up with a jack russell. Hooray says I here's your dog, no he says, this is his mate, I found him wandering earlier, here ya go .
They're both in Bath cats and dogs home now, I wish people would put bloody collars and tags on their sodding pets, don't they know it's a legal requirement??? .

back on topic :...........khan you would need a dedicated supply for these larger machines to run at their max amps,could use smaller lower power invertor arc welder for same work but requies more skill but less power,,,,

plenty of mig welders on e-bay including a portamig with 3 days to go ,still in warranty although i would check the conditions of the warranty with weldquipe as i think he's the supplier
